Before the lesson, cut out the Halloween word flashcards and prepare the construction paper for a craft activity.

Activities

1. Read a Halloween-themed picture book together.

Choose a picture book with simple Halloween-related words and vibrant illustrations. Read the book aloud, pointing to the words as you read.

2. Play a matching game with Halloween word flashcards.

Show the flashcards one by one and ask your child to say the word out loud. Then, mix up the flashcards and have your child match each word to its corresponding picture.

3. Create a Halloween word collage.

Give your child the construction paper, glue, and the remaining Halloween word flashcards. Encourage them to glue the flashcards onto the paper to create a spooky word collage.
