Activities

Read a story aloud to the student.
Choose a storybook that is appropriate for the Kindergarten level and has a clear theme.

Discuss the story with the student.
Ask questions to prompt the student's understanding of the plot and characters.

Identify the theme together.
Guide the student to think about the main message or lesson of the story.
Encourage the student to express their thoughts and ideas.

Write or draw the theme.
Provide the student with a blank piece of paper and ask them to write or draw something that represents the theme of the story.
Assist the student if needed, and praise their efforts.
