Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a basic understanding of how to read and follow Lego instruction manuals.

Activities

  1. Choose a Lego instruction manual that matches your skill level and interests.
  2. Take some time to browse through the available Lego instruction manuals and select one that you find appealing. It could be a set you already own or one that you would like to build in the future.

  3. Read and follow the instructions in the manual to build the Lego set.
  4. Start reading the instructions from the beginning and follow them step by step to build the Lego set. Pay attention to the details and make sure you understand each step before moving on to the next one.

  5. Take notes on any new vocabulary or reading strategies you encounter.
  6. While reading the instructions, write down any new words or phrases you come across. Also, note any reading strategies that help you understand the instructions better, such as looking for visual cues or breaking down complex sentences.

  7. Reflect on your reading experience and share your thoughts.
  8. After completing the Lego set, take a moment to reflect on your reading experience. Write a short paragraph in your notebook about what you enjoyed or found challenging about reading the instructions. Share your thoughts with a family member or friend.
