Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will understand the immune system as a war within our bodies and how it protects us from harmful invaders.

Activities

  1. Watch a video about the immune system:

    Use your computer or tablet to search for a kid-friendly video that explains the immune system. Watch the video attentively and take notes on the important points.

  2. Create a comic strip:

    Using your pen and paper, create a comic strip that depicts the immune system as a war. Draw different characters representing the immune cells and invaders such as bacteria or viruses. Add speech bubbles to show what each character is saying or thinking.

  3. Present your comic strip:

    Share your comic strip with a family member or friend. Explain the different characters and their roles in the immune system war. Discuss how the immune system fights off invaders to keep us healthy.
