Materials and Prep
- Playdough (green, brown, and any other colors you have)
- Dinosaur toys or pictures
- A clean workspace
No additional preparation is needed.
Activities
- Start by showing your student different pictures or toys of dinosaurs. Talk about the different shapes, sizes, and features of dinosaurs.
- Give your student some playdough and ask them to create their own dinosaur sculptures. Encourage them to be creative and use different colors of playdough to represent different parts of the dinosaur.
- Once they have finished their sculptures, have a discussion about their creations. Ask them questions like:
- What kind of dinosaur did you create?
- What colors did you use?
- What is your favorite part of your sculpture?
- Encourage your student to appreciate their artwork and display it in a special place.
