Materials and Prep
- A variety of crystals (e.g., quartz, amethyst, rose quartz)
- A magnifying glass

Activities
- Introduction to Crystals: Start by showing the different crystals to the student. Explain that crystals are special rocks that have a unique shape and color. Discuss how people believe that crystals can have healing properties.
- Observing Crystals: Encourage the student to use the magnifying glass to closely observe the crystals. Ask them to describe the shapes, colors, and any patterns they notice.
- Water Test: Fill the small bowl with water and ask the student to place one crystal at a time into the water. Observe if anything happens to the crystal when it is in contact with water. Discuss any changes or lack thereof.
- Crystal Identification: Show the student pictures or drawings of different crystals and ask them to match them with the actual crystals. Discuss the similarities and differences between the crystals.
- Journaling: Provide the student with a small notebook and pencil. Ask them to draw and write about their favorite crystal and why they find it interesting or beautiful.
