Activities
- Warm-up: Discuss Lego Ninjago (5 minutes)
Talk about Lego Ninjago with the student. Ask them what they already know about the characters and the story. - Read the story together (10 minutes)
Read a short Lego Ninjago story together. Encourage the student to follow along and point out any words they recognize. - Comprehension questions (10 minutes)
Ask the student some simple questions about the story to check their understanding. For example, "Who are the main characters in the story?" or "What was the problem they had to solve?" - Draw your favorite scene (10 minutes)
Have the student draw their favorite scene from the story. Encourage them to include details and use their imagination. - Write a sentence about the story (10 minutes)
Ask the student to write a sentence describing what happened in the story. Help them with spelling and encourage them to use their best handwriting.
