Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a clear workspace and gather all the necessary materials. It may be helpful to have reference images of nutcrackers for inspiration.
Activities
- Design your nutcracker: Use markers or colored pencils to sketch out your nutcracker design on a piece of paper. Think about the shape, facial features, and any additional details you want to include.
- Construct the body: Take a wooden block and glue a wooden dowel to the back of it. This will serve as the body and the handle of your nutcracker.
- Add the head: Use another wooden block to create the head of your nutcracker. Glue it to the top end of the dowel.
- Paint and decorate: Once the glue has dried, paint your nutcracker using the colors of your choice. You can also add additional decorations using paint, markers, or any other materials you have available.
- Finishing touches: Once the paint has dried, you can add final details such as facial features, hair, or any other embellishments you desire.
