Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify the provinces and territories of Canada on a map and understand their basic geographical features.
Materials and Prep
Materials: Map of Canada, coloring pencils or markers
Prep: Familiarize yourself with the names and basic features of the provinces and territories of Canada.
Activities
1. Show the map of Canada to the student and point out the different provinces and territories.
2. Ask the student to color each province or territory with a different color.
3. Encourage the student to ask questions about the different regions and talk about any interesting facts you know about them.

- "Today, we are going to learn about the different parts of Canada. Canada is a big country with many different areas."
- "Let's look at the map and see how many parts we can find. Can you find the big water area at the top?"
