Activities

1. Go outside and observe the rain. Look at how it falls from the sky and lands on different surfaces.

2. Discuss the sound and smell of rain. What does it sound like? What does it smell like?

3. Draw a picture of what you see and hear during the rain. Use colors to represent the rain and its effects.

  • Rain is water that falls from the sky. It helps plants and trees grow. You can say, "Rain is like a drink for the plants and trees. It helps them grow big and strong."
  • When it rains, we can hear the pitter-patter sound. You can say, "Listen carefully! Do you hear the rain? It sounds like little taps on the roof."
  • Rain makes everything look fresh and clean. You can say, "After the rain, everything looks so clean and shiny. It's like nature's shower!"
