Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify and locate the continents on a map and understand their basic characteristics.
Materials and Prep
Materials: World map or globe
Prep: Familiarize yourself with the names and locations of the continents.
Activities
1. Show the student a world map or globe and point out the different continents. Ask the student to repeat the names of each continent after you.
2. Play a game of "Simon Says" where you say "Simon says, touch North America" or "Simon says, point to Africa" and have the student follow the instructions.
3. Create a simple quiz by asking the student to point to different continents on the map or globe and providing positive reinforcement for correct answers.
