Activities
- Introduce the concept of a library and explain its purpose. Discuss how libraries have books on various topics that can be borrowed.
- Set up a mini library with your dolls or stuffed animals. Arrange the books neatly and create a pretend library card if desired.
- Encourage your dolls to choose books from the library. Discuss different genres and ask your dolls what type of book they are interested in reading.
- Help your dolls understand how to handle books with care. Teach them how to turn pages gently and not to write or draw in the books.
- Read a book to your dolls, using different voices for the characters and asking your dolls questions about the story. Encourage them to engage in the discussion.
- Allow your dolls to take turns being the librarian, checking out books to each other and returning them to the library.
