Preschool Grade Talking Points
- "Let's pretend to be bears getting ready to sleep for the winter. Bears sleep for a long time during winter, and we can count how many bears are sleeping."
- "When the bears wake up, they might find some food. Let's add the number of food items they find, like berries or fish."
- "Oh no, a few animals are still sleeping. Let's subtract the number of sleeping animals from the total to see how many are awake."
- "Now, let's draw the animals that are hibernating. Can you draw three sleeping bears?"
