Fourth Grade Talking Points
- "Verbs are action words. They show what someone or something is doing. For example, 'stir,' 'bake,' and 'mix' are all verbs related to baking."
- "When we use verbs in sentences, we can talk about the actions happening in the kitchen while baking. Can you think of a sentence using the verb 'whisk'?"
- "It's important to use the right verb to describe the action. For example, we don't say 'The baker cut the dough' when the correct verb should be 'kneaded.'"
