Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to identify and use nouns and verbs in sentences, and create your own sentences using Princess Jasmine as your inspiration.
Materials and Prep
You will need paper and pencils for writing, and your imagination to create sentences about Princess Jasmine.
Activities
Start by reading a short story about Princess Jasmine. As you read, point out the nouns (people, places, or things) and verbs (action words) in the story.
Next, together we will brainstorm a list of nouns related to Princess Jasmine, such as palace, magic carpet, and sultan.
Then, we will think of verbs that Princess Jasmine might do, like fly, explore, and dance.
Using the list of nouns and verbs, we will create simple sentences about Princess Jasmine. For example, "Princess Jasmine dances in the palace" or "The magic carpet flies high in the sky."
