Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to understand the basic concepts of biology and the natural world through engaging activities and discussions related to David Attenborough documentaries.
Materials and Prep
Materials:
- Access to David Attenborough documentaries
- Paper and pencil for note-taking
- Have access to a device to watch the documentaries
- Prepare a comfortable and quiet learning environment
Activities

Fourth Grade Talking Points
- Animals have different habitats where they live and find food. You can say, "Animals like polar bears live in cold places called the Arctic, where they hunt for seals to eat."
- Plants and animals rely on each other to survive. You can say, "Plants make oxygen for animals to breathe, and animals help plants by spreading their seeds."
- There are different ecosystems, like forests and oceans, where many different plants and animals live. You can say, "The ocean is home to many creatures, from tiny fish to giant whales, and they all depend on the ocean to survive."
