Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify and discuss the main characters and themes in Franklin the Turtle stories, and demonstrate comprehension through simple activities.

Materials and Prep

Materials: Franklin the Turtle books (or online stories), paper, crayons or markers.

Prep: Familiarize yourself with Franklin the Turtle stories and prepare a few discussion questions.

Activities

1. Read a Franklin the Turtle story together and discuss the main characters and themes.

2. Draw a picture of Franklin and his friends, and talk about what they like to do.

3. Act out a short scene from a Franklin the Turtle story, taking turns playing different characters.
