Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to identify key elements of the story of Franklin the turtle and demonstrate understanding through creative activities.
Materials and Prep
Materials needed: Franklin the Turtle book or video, paper, crayons or markers.
Prior to the lesson, familiarize yourself with the Franklin the Turtle story and have the materials ready for the activities.
Activities
1. Read or watch a Franklin the Turtle story together.
2. Discuss the main characters and events in the story, encouraging the student to express their thoughts and feelings about the plot.
3. Have the student draw a picture of their favorite part of the story and explain why they chose that scene.
4. Encourage the student to create their own short story about Franklin the Turtle, using their imagination and creativity.
