Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to recognize and understand different emotions through storytelling and art activities.
Materials and Prep
Materials: Construction paper, markers, glue, scissors, magazines or printed images of different facial expressions, and a storybook about emotions.
Prep: Cut out various facial expressions from the magazines or printed images.
Activities
1. Storytelling: Read a storybook about different emotions and discuss each emotion with the student.
2. Emotion Collage: Provide the student with construction paper, markers, glue, and the cut-out facial expressions. Ask them to create a collage by pasting the different facial expressions on the paper and drawing additional emotions.
3. Role Play: Act out different emotions with the student and encourage them to express their feelings through facial expressions and body language.

- "Today, we are going to learn about different feelings and emotions. Can you show me a happy face?"
- "When we feel sad, it's okay to talk about it and share our feelings with others. Can you draw a sad face on the paper?"
- "Sometimes we feel excited, like when we are going to do something fun. How does your excited face look?"
- "Let's pretend to be a sleepy bear. Can you show me how a sleepy bear looks?"
