- Read the story book together and discuss the main characters, setting, and events in the story.
- Ask the student to retell the beginning, middle, and end of the story in their own words.
- Encourage the student to create a simple drawing or craft related to the story.

- "Let's talk about the characters in the story. Who are the main characters? Can you describe them?"
- "Now, let's think about where the story takes place. What is the setting of the story?"
- "What are the important things that happen in the story? What are the events that make the story interesting?"
