Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will have a basic understanding of Puerto Rico's history, culture, and daily life.

Materials and Prep

- Map of Puerto Rico - Pictures of Puerto Rican landmarks - Paper and coloring materials - Access to the internet for virtual tours - Basic knowledge of Puerto Rican culture

Activities

1. Show the student a map of Puerto Rico and discuss its location and size. 2. Share pictures of Puerto Rican landmarks and talk about their significance. 3. Have the student draw and color their own Puerto Rican flag. 4. Take a virtual tour of a traditional Puerto Rican home and compare it to their own living environment.
