Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to create a snow-themed artwork using only their hands and fingers.

Materials and Prep

Materials: White paper, washable finger paints in various shades of blue, black, and white.

Prep: Lay out the materials on a covered surface to protect against spills.

Activities

1. Finger Painting: Encourage the student to dip their fingers into the paint and create a snowy scene on the paper. They can make snowflakes, snowmen, or a snowy landscape.

2. Handprint Snowflakes: Show the student how to make handprints on the paper and then use their fingers to add snowflake details around the handprints.

3. Snowy Fingerprints: Demonstrate how to make fingerprint snowflakes and snow-covered trees using just their fingers and the paint.
