Ninth Grade Talking Points
- Pokemon cards can be a fun way to understand the different roles in a government. For example, you can say, "Just like how Pikachu has different abilities, in a government, different roles have different responsibilities and powers."
- Understanding citizenship is important for participating in a community. You can mention, "Just like how Pokemon trainers have responsibilities to their Pokemon, citizens have responsibilities to their community and country."
- Governments can be organized in different ways, similar to how Pokemon cards have different types and abilities. You can explain, "Just like how there are different types of Pokemon, governments can be organized in different ways, such as democracies, monarchies, or dictatorships."
