Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to read and comprehend a short story about fishing and answer questions about the story.
Materials and Prep
Materials: A short story about fishing (can be found online or created by the teacher), paper, pencil.
Prep: Familiarize yourself with the short story and prepare discussion questions based on the story.
Activities
1. Read the short story about fishing together with the student.
2. Discuss the story, asking questions like: What do you think the characters are doing? Where are they? What do you think will happen next?
3. Have the student draw a picture of their favorite part of the story and write a sentence about it.
