- Draw a picture and write a sentence describing it using at least one noun, one verb, and one adjective.
First Grade Talking Points
- What is a noun? - "A noun is a word for a person, place, or thing. For example, 'dog' is a noun because it's a word for an animal."
- What is a verb? - "A verb is a word that shows action. When you run, jump, or play, you are doing a verb!"
- What is an adjective? - "An adjective is a word that describes a noun. It tells us more about the noun. Like 'big' describes how something looks."
