  • Pen or pencil
  • Internet access (optional)

No prior knowledge is required for this lesson.

Activities

  1. Research: Find a superhero of your choice and make a list of their superpowers.

Take some time to research different superheroes and choose one that interests you the most. Write down a list of their superpowers. You can use the internet or any superhero comic books you have at home.

  2. Biological Analysis: Analyze the superpowers of your chosen superhero.

Think about the superpowers your chosen superhero possesses. Consider the following questions:

    • Are their powers based on any real-life biological principles?
    • Are there any animals or plants in nature that have similar abilities?
    • How could their powers be explained from a biological perspective?

Write down your analysis and any connections you make between the superhero's powers and biology.

  3. Design Your Own Superhero: Create a superhero with biologically inspired powers.

Using your understanding of biology, design your own superhero with unique superpowers. Consider how their abilities could be connected to real-life biological concepts. Draw or describe your superhero and their powers.
