Activities
- Start by showing the student pictures or illustrations of different coniferous trees. Explain that coniferous trees are a type of evergreen tree that have needles instead of leaves.
- If available, let the student touch and explore a small pinecone or sprig of pine needles. Talk about the texture and smell of the pinecone or needles.
- Ask the student to draw or color their favorite coniferous tree. Encourage them to include the needles and any other unique features they learned about.
