Materials and Prep
- Various found materials from nature (sticks, leaves, rocks, shells, etc.)
- Scissors
- Glue
- String or twine
- Optional: Paint, markers, or other decorative materials
No prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.
Activities
- Go on a nature walk and collect various materials that catch your interest.
- Sort and organize the materials based on their characteristics (size, shape, color, texture, etc.).
- Choose a specific object you would like to create using the found materials.
- Plan and sketch a design for your object, considering how the materials can be used and combined.
- Start assembling your object by using scissors, glue, and string to connect the materials together.
- Optional: Decorate your object with paint, markers, or other decorative materials to add your personal touch.
- Once your object is complete, reflect on the process and think about how the materials from nature were transformed into something useful.
