Materials and Prep
- Scissors
- A small container with water
- A variety of flowers and foliage found in nature (e.g., daisies, leaves, twigs)

Before starting the lesson, make sure to discuss with the student the importance of respecting nature and not picking flowers from private property or protected areas.

- Once back home, provide the student with the materials and guide them in arranging the collected flowers and foliage in the vase or jar. Teach them how to cut the stems at an angle and place them in water to keep them fresh.
- Encourage the student to experiment with different arrangements and combinations of flowers and foliage. Discuss the importance of balance and symmetry in design.
- Invite the student to display their floral design in a prominent place in the home and share it with family members or friends.
