Activities

- Activity 4: Flag Match Game
Take a look at the world map or globe and locate different countries. Point out where you live and ask the student to find it on the map as well. Encourage them to identify and locate other countries.
Provide the student with paper and coloring materials. Ask them to choose a country they are interested in and research its culture, landmarks, and traditions. Then, have them create a collage by drawing or cutting out pictures related to that country and gluing them onto the paper.
Discuss with the student that different countries have unique traditional foods. Pick a few countries and find out what their popular dishes are. Encourage the student to draw or describe their favorite dish from each country.
If you have printed or drawn flags of different countries, play a matching game with the student. Lay out the flags and ask them to match each flag with the correct country name. This will help them learn about different flags and associate them with their respective countries.
