Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to spell words related to Lego correctly.
Materials and Prep
- Lego bricks
- Paper and pencil
Activities
-
Building Lego Words:
Use Lego bricks to spell out different words related to Lego. Write down each word on a piece of paper as you build it. Challenge yourself to spell longer words and see if you can create a Lego tower for each word.
-
Word Scramble:
Write down several Lego-related words on separate pieces of paper. Mix up the letters of each word and give the scrambled words to your student. Have them unscramble the letters to spell the correct words. For an extra challenge, time how long it takes them to unscramble all the words and try to beat their own record.
-
Spelling Bee:
Choose a few Lego-related words and have a mini spelling bee. Pronounce each word and have your student spell it out loud. If they get it right, they can move on to the next word. If they make a mistake, they can try again until they spell it correctly. Keep track of how many words they spell correctly.
