Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to understand and use basic Spanish vocabulary related to Ninja Turtles.

Materials and Prep

  • Printed pictures of Ninja Turtles
  • Blank sheets of paper
  • Markers or crayons

No prior knowledge of Spanish is required.

Activities

  • Activity 1: Turtle Colors

    Show the student pictures of different Ninja Turtles and ask them to name the colors they see. Teach them the Spanish words for the colors and have them practice saying them aloud.

  • Activity 2: Turtle Names

    Write down the names of the Ninja Turtles in English and ask the student to match them with their corresponding Spanish names. Help them pronounce the Spanish names correctly.

  • Activity 3: Turtle Drawing

    Encourage the student to draw their favorite Ninja Turtle using the markers or crayons. As they draw, ask them to label different parts of the turtle's body with the corresponding Spanish words (e.g., head, arms, legs).
