Objective

Activities

  • Research: Encourage the student to research and find information about Roman gladiators. They can use books or reliable online sources. Have them take notes on important facts and interesting details.
  • Create a Gladiator Profile: Ask the student to choose a specific gladiator from history and create a profile for them. The profile should include the gladiator's name, background, fighting style, notable battles, and any other relevant information. They can present their profile in written form or as a visual poster.
  • Design a Gladiator: Have the student use their imagination to design their own gladiator. They can draw or describe the gladiator's appearance, armor, weapons, and even a backstory. Encourage creativity and explain how different factors may have influenced the design of gladiators in ancient Rome.
  • Gladiator Quiz: Create a quiz with multiple-choice questions about Roman gladiators. The student can test their knowledge and have fun while learning. They can even challenge family members or friends to take the quiz and see who knows the most about gladiators.
