Activities
- Activity 1: Brushing Technique - Demonstrate the proper way to brush your teeth using a soft toothbrush and toothpaste. Show the student how to move the brush in circular motions and reach all areas of the mouth.
- Activity 2: Toothpaste Experiment - Squeeze a small amount of toothpaste onto a plate and ask the student to observe its texture, color, and smell. Discuss the purpose of toothpaste and how it helps to clean our teeth.
- Activity 3: Plaque Detection - Using a disclosing tablet or solution, have the student chew it and then examine their teeth in the mirror. The colored dye will help them identify areas where plaque has built up and needs to be removed.
- Activity 4: Healthy Food Choices - Discuss the impact of food on oral health. Show the student pictures of different foods and ask them to categorize them as "good for teeth" or "bad for teeth."
