Activity 1: Vocabulary Matching
Print out the provided vocabulary list. Cut out the words and definitions separately. Mix them up and have the student match the German words with their meanings.

Create a quiz with multiple-choice questions about historical events. Use the German vocabulary learned in this lesson to include some questions in German. Have the student answer the questions orally or in writing.

Assign roles to the student and yourself, pretending to be characters from a historical event. Use the German phrases learned in this lesson to have a conversation in German, discussing the event and its significance.
