Pretend Play: Choose a significant historical event or time period and encourage the student to create a pretend play scenario using Nintendo characters. For example, they can imagine Mario and Luigi traveling back in time to the ancient Egyptian civilization or the American Revolution. Encourage them to act out the scenario and explain the historical context behind their play.
Dogs in History: Discuss the role of dogs in different historical contexts, such as their use in warfare, exploration, or as companions. Have the student research and share interesting facts about famous historical dogs, such as Balto or Laika.
