Objective
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to build a simple Lego structure and understand basic concepts of engineering and creativity.
Materials and Prep
- Lego bricks of various shapes and sizes
- A flat surface to build on
- A timer or stopwatch (optional)
No prior knowledge or preparation is required for this lesson.
Activities
1. Free Building: Allow the student to freely explore and build whatever they like using the Lego bricks. Encourage them to use their imagination and creativity.
2. Building Challenge: Give the student a specific task or challenge, such as building a tower as tall as possible or creating a vehicle that can move. Set a timer and see how quickly they can complete the challenge.
3. Story Building: Ask the student to build a scene from their favorite story or create their own story using Lego. Let them narrate the story as they build.
