Materials and Prep

Before starting the lesson, make sure you have a comfortable space to sit and learn.
Activities
- Activity 1: My Healthy Plate
Draw a large circle on a piece of paper. Divide the circle into sections representing different food groups (fruits, vegetables, grains, protein, dairy). Color each section and label them. Discuss the importance of having a balanced diet and how each food group contributes to our health. - Activity 2: Exercise Challenge
Set a timer for 10 minutes and challenge yourself to do as many jumping jacks, squats, or any other physical activity as you can within that time. Keep track of your progress and try to beat your record each time you do this activity. - Activity 3: Healthy Snack Preparation
Choose a healthy snack recipe (e.g., fruit salad, yogurt parfait) and prepare it with the help of an adult. Discuss the benefits of eating nutritious snacks and how they can give us energy.
