Activities
Start by choosing a nearby natural area to explore, such as a park, forest, or beach.
Before you begin your walk, take a moment to observe your surroundings. What do you see, hear, and smell?
As you walk, pay close attention to the plants and animals you encounter. Take notes or draw sketches of anything interesting.
Look for signs of wildlife, such as tracks, nests, or burrows. Try to identify the animals that made them.
Collect samples of leaves, flowers, or rocks that catch your interest. Take them home and research more about them.
Take photographs of the different landscapes and natural features you come across. Create a photo collage or scrapbook.
