Activities
- Read Aloud: Choose a book with rhyming words and read it aloud to the student. Encourage them to listen for words that sound the same at the end.
- Rhyme Hunt: Take turns with the student coming up with words that rhyme. Start with simple words like cat, hat, mat, and gradually increase the difficulty.
- Rhyme Match: Write down pairs of rhyming words on index cards or small pieces of paper. Shuffle them and ask the student to match the rhyming pairs.
- Create a Rhyme: Give the student a word and ask them to come up with a rhyming word. Encourage creativity and provide positive feedback.
