Materials and Prep
- No additional materials are required for this lesson.
- Prior knowledge of the English language is helpful but not necessary.
Activities
Activity 1: Mime Game
Ask the student to pretend to be different objects or animals related to creating. For example, they can pretend to be a paintbrush, a sculptor, or a chef. Encourage them to use their body language and facial expressions to convey their chosen role.
Activity 2: Picture Flashcards
Show the student flashcards with pictures of various objects related to creating, such as a paint palette, a clay sculpture, or a mixing bowl. Ask them to identify each object in the foreign language you are teaching, and repeat the word after you.
Activity 3: Storytelling
Create a simple story using pictures or drawings that involve characters engaged in creative activities. Narrate the story in the foreign language, and encourage the student to listen and try to understand the plot. Afterward, ask them questions about the story to check comprehension.
