Objective

Materials and Prep

  • Baby dolls
  • Blankets or small towels
  • Toy bottles or cups
  • Toy clothes
  • Toy diapers (optional)
  • Small pillows or cushions
  • Clear space for play

Activities

  • Dress-up Time: Encourage the student to dress up their baby doll using the toy clothes. Help them put on the clothes if needed.
  • Feeding Time: Provide the student with toy bottles or cups and encourage them to pretend to feed their baby dolls. Use simple phrases like "Here's some milk for the baby" or "Let's give the baby some water."
  • Nap Time: Lay out small pillows or cushions on the floor and show the student how to put their baby doll down for a nap. Encourage them to pat the doll gently and say things like "It's time for the baby to sleep" or "Shhh, the baby is sleeping."
  • Diaper Changing: If you have toy diapers, demonstrate how to change a baby doll's diaper. Use simple phrases like "Time for a diaper change" or "Let's make the baby clean and dry."
  • Playtime: Encourage the student to engage in free play with their baby dolls. Let them use their imagination to come up with their own activities and scenarios.
