  1. Brainstorming: Have the student choose an American Girl doll they are interested in. Encourage them to think about the doll's personality, hobbies, and background.
  2. Character Development: Ask the student to write a detailed description of their chosen doll. They should include physical appearance, personality traits, and any interesting facts about the doll's life.
  3. Plot Creation: Guide the student in creating a plot for their story. Encourage them to think about a problem or challenge their doll may face and how they will overcome it.
  4. Writing the Story: Instruct the student to use their character description and plot to write a creative story featuring their American Girl doll as the main character. Remind them to include a clear beginning, middle, and end.
  5. Editing and Revision: Have the student read their story aloud and make any necessary edits or revisions. Encourage them to check for grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors.
  6. Final Draft: Once the student is satisfied with their story, ask them to write a final draft using their best handwriting or typing skills.
