Activities
Play a number recognition game: Write down numbers randomly from 0 to 9 on small pieces of paper. Mix them up and ask the student to pick one at a time and identify the number.
Create a number collage: Cut out numbers from magazines or newspapers and help the student arrange them in the correct order from 0 to 9.
Sing a number song: Teach the student a catchy song that includes counting from 0 to 9. Sing it together multiple times to reinforce number recognition.
Role-play emergency situations: Pretend to be in different emergency scenarios and have the student practice dialing the emergency number on a toy phone or a pretend phone.
Repeat and reinforce: Throughout the day, randomly ask the student to recall the emergency number and provide positive reinforcement when they remember it correctly.
