Objective
By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to recognize numbers and practice their listening skills through playing Number Bingo.
Materials and Prep
- Number Bingo cards (You can create these by writing numbers 1-10 in random order on a piece of paper)
- A set of number flashcards (1-10)
- A container to hold the flashcards
Activities
1. Start by explaining the rules of Number Bingo to the student. Show them a sample Bingo card and explain that they need to match the called number to the ones on their card.
2. Shuffle the number flashcards and place them in the container.
3. Begin the game by randomly picking a flashcard from the container and showing it to the student. Call out the number on the flashcard.
4. Encourage the student to find the matching number on their Bingo card and mark it with a small object, like a button or a coin.
5. Continue picking flashcards and calling out the numbers until the student completes a row or a full card.
6. Celebrate the student's success and play multiple rounds of Number Bingo to reinforce number recognition.
