Objective

By the end of this lesson, the student will be able to arrange plastic cups labeled with numbers 1-10 in numerical order.

Materials and Prep

• Plastic cups labeled with numbers 1-10

No additional preparation required.

Activities

• Activity 1: Cup Sorting

Ask the student to find all the cups and bring them to a central location in the room. Then, encourage the student to arrange the cups in numerical order from 1 to 10.

• Activity 2: Number Hunt

Hide the cups around the room, making sure they are still visible and accessible to the student. Ask the student to find the cups one by one and place them in numerical order as they find them.

• Activity 3: Number Race

Set up a race between the student and another family member or friend. Each participant will have a set of cups labeled with numbers 1-10. The goal is to arrange the cups in numerical order as fast as possible. Cheer and celebrate the winner!
