Objective

By the end of this lesson, you will have learned the importance of physical activity for your health and wellbeing, and you will have engaged in fun activities to promote your physical fitness.

Materials and Prep

Materials needed: comfortable clothing, water bottle, open space for movement.

Prep: Make sure you have enough space to move around safely.

Activities

1. Warm-up Dance Party: Put on your favorite song and dance around for 5 minutes to get your body moving and heart pumping.

2. Obstacle Course Challenge: Create an obstacle course with pillows, chairs, and other safe items. Time yourself as you go through the course multiple times.

3. Balloon Keep-Up: Keep a balloon in the air using only your hands and feet. See how long you can keep it from touching the ground.

4. Stretching and Yoga: Follow along with a kid-friendly yoga video or create your own stretching routine to improve flexibility.
