Talking Points
- What is a noun? A noun is a word that names a person, place, thing, or idea. For example, "dog" is a noun because it is a thing.
- Can you find a noun in this room? Look around and point to things that are nouns. Remember, they are names of things like "table" or "book."
- Why are nouns important in sentences? Nouns help us understand who or what is doing the action in a sentence. For instance, in the sentence "The cat sleeps," "cat" is the noun telling us who is sleeping.
