Objective
The objective of this lesson is for the student to learn about the history of armies and warfare, while also exploring the connection between history and Army games.
Materials and Prep

Prior knowledge of basic history concepts and familiarity with Army games is helpful but not required.
Activities
- Research: Have the student conduct online research on the history of armies and warfare. Encourage them to explore different time periods and regions. They can take notes on important events, strategies, and technologies.
- Timeline Creation: Using the information gathered from the research, ask the student to create a timeline of significant events in the history of armies. They can draw the timeline on paper and include dates, descriptions, and illustrations.
- Comparison: Have the student compare and contrast the strategies and tactics used by armies in different time periods. They can write a short essay or create a presentation highlighting the similarities and differences.
- Game Analysis: If the student has an Army game of choice, ask them to play it and analyze how historical events and strategies are incorporated into the game. They can write a review or create a gameplay video discussing the historical accuracy and educational value.
