Objective

By the end of this lesson, Elisabeth will be able to build a shelter and create wind catches using coffee filter makers and rainwater.

  • Making Wind Catches: Show Elisabeth how to use the coffee filter makers to create wind catches that can spin in the wind. Discuss how wind energy can be harnessed for various purposes.
  • Collecting Rainwater: If it's raining, let Elisabeth collect rainwater in a container using the coffee filter makers as funnels. Discuss the importance of water conservation.
